Windjammer Condominiums — St. Augustine

Project Overview

Windjammer Condominiums is a multi-story residential community in St. Augustine, Florida. BEED Engineering provided plumbing engineering design services for the project.

This assignment was plumbing only. Mechanical and electrical design were not listed as part of BEED’s scope.

The Challenge

A condominium building stacks dwelling units over shared entries and site amenities. Domestic water, sanitary waste, and related plumbing have to serve many units from common risers without treating the project as a single-family house.

The design had to provide engineered plumbing for a multi-family residential building in St. Augustine, coordinated with the architecture of stacked units and shared building services.

BEED Engineering's Scope

BEED provided plumbing engineering design services. Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and construction administration were not listed for this project.

Engineering Solutions

The plumbing design covered the water and waste systems required for the Windjammer condominium buildings. Because the published scope is plumbing design only, the project page does not claim HVAC, power, or site lighting work.

Windjammer is one of BEED’s residential sample projects — a St. Augustine condominium where the engineering assignment was the plumbing system behind the dwelling units.
